Spin Cycle: Oh Happy Day!
January 29, 2010 11:20 am
Happiness is making it to the top of the volcano all by yourself.
And mastering the big kid stairs.
And sliding so damn fast that the camera can’t keep up.
Most of all, it’s getting out of the house for a tantrum free day where siblings unite.
In the mood to smile? Check out Sprite’s Keeper for more spins on Happiness!

on January 29th, 2010 at 12:06 pmOh, that looks like so much fun! Happy kids definitely make for happy mommies. And vice-versa.

on January 29th, 2010 at 12:54 pmThat looks like a blast! Your kids are so stinkin’ cute!

on January 29th, 2010 at 12:55 pmI wish Sprite would have more fun at those types of places. We’ve brought her twice to Pump it Up and both times it took her forever to warm up to it. But your kids look happy! You’re linked!

on January 29th, 2010 at 3:08 pmThat would indeed be the personification of happiness for the members of this household! I am now inspired to seek out a giant, multi-colored climbing volcano in our neck of the woods…
Thank you for your comment on my guest post at IslandRoar. I enjoyed my visit to your blog.

on January 29th, 2010 at 3:27 pmWouldn’t it be cool if they made adult sized versions of bouncy castles?

on January 29th, 2010 at 3:34 pmAh, united siblings. On those days (rarer now than they used to be) I could put my kids to bed in the same room at the end of a great day with hugs and cuddles and they’d whisper happily until they fell asleep.

on January 29th, 2010 at 4:23 pmSo did Mom try to go down a slide too? It looks fun!

on January 29th, 2010 at 4:50 pmLily loves Pump It Up! We’ve gone to a lot of birthday parties there, but I’ve never taken her there just for the afternoon with her sister. That’s a great idea for kids with a lot of energy! (Lily is sitting on my lap, and she says “How did she get those pictures so good?)

on January 29th, 2010 at 5:01 pmVery nice
It looks like fun. Why don’t grown ups get fun stuff like that to play on?

on January 29th, 2010 at 9:58 pmJanuary, February, and March were the months that the walls came closer and our tempers shorter. Cabin Fever was the event of the day and I didn’t think we would make it each year. But we did, somehow. Barely. And then spring and summer would come and we were semi-normal again.
God, I hate January, February, and March. It is the trifecta of stay-at-home mother hell.

on January 29th, 2010 at 11:44 pmDon’t lie. You know the REAL happiness is the nap that follows such hard-core activities!

on January 30th, 2010 at 7:13 pmAlso a great way to wear them out for naptime! Anytime we babysit my nephew we take him to the local kids’ Gymboree-wannabe (except lately because at 33 weeks I have NO energy to chase him around there). After an hour his legs are like rubber and he’s ready to pass out for a couple hours.

on February 7th, 2010 at 12:23 pmOH, that looks fun! Maybe we need to make a KJ’s trip once we dig out of the snowfest! And, just so you have something to look forward to, my boys have been very friendly toward each other this last week
