Random Tuesday Thoughts: Family, Food and Nature March 17, 2009 6:00 am Welcome to another edition of Keely’s Random Tuesday Thoughts. Her randomness is spreading through the blogosphere at the speed of light (or that person’s connection speed). I hate trees. There, I said it, I’m an anti-tree hugger. I really only hate one tree in particular. We had family in town this weekend and spent Friday preparing for their visit. We even outsourced our yard work and hired someone to clean the gutters and rake up the leaves (note: in FL, the trees drop their leaves in the early spring). Twelve bags of leaves later, the yard looked great. The next morning, we woke up to the entire thing being covered again. Jamie’s truck hasn’t been driven since last week and it’s sitting under the Oak tree with about 6″ of leaves on the windshield. Therefore, I hate trees. Although entertaining isn’t his favorite thing to do, Jamie likes it when we have company because I run around like a nut case cleaning and organizing to make the house look nice. I even cleaned the pool and hung two infant swings on the new swing set. Talk about motivated. Don’t worry though, I’m back to sitting on my ass again today. My mind is fried lately. I’m not sure if it’s allergies or the heat or what but *yawn*, I’m having trouble even staying awake in the day and blogging is low on the list of things I have energy for. Why the hell do TV shows play their intro music so damn loud? Last night while watching The Celebrity Apprentice, we had to turn it way down every damn time the show came back from commercial so we didn’t wake the kids up. I get it, it’s dramatic. Now turn that shit down. I’ve made several comments on northern blogs (that sounds like a TV series, Northern Blogs, on Tuesdays at 8PM EST) about how hot it is here already. I’m sorry if it seemed like I was rubbing it in your faces, but I really meant it when I said the heat is miserable. We spent the weekend alternating from the swing set to the pool (oh sorry, rubbing it in again?) and poor Graham has heat rash on his neck and back from the heat. I even lobbed off all of the curls on the back of his neck but after fifteen minutes outside, the rash is back. After reading Jen’s guest post yesterday, I spent the day craving mac-n-cheese. I finally broke down and made some while Jamie was putting Graham to bed. Then I promptly scarfed the entire batch and emailed Jen to place the blame on her. It’s nice being able to blame someone else for once. Speaking of blame, I tried to take Elliot with me to go work out today but 16 minutes into my workout, the daycare lady came and got me. Elliot was acting like a big fat baby and crying for her mom. What a baby. I used to wonder who marketers thought they were fooling because the average American was too smart to want something just because they saw it advertised. I guess I’m the idiot it works on since I based my dinner choice solely on someone’s mere mention of macaroni and cheese. Remember the Letter Factory video I blogged about last week? I have that fucking song in my head. It’s in my head when I wake up, when I shower, when I drive, when I try to sleep. ALL DAY LONG. If you hear about the girl who purposely drove into a telephone pole to get a song out of her head, it was me. BTW, telephone pole starts with the letter “t”. The “t” says “tuh”, the “T” says “tuh”, every letter makes a sound, the “t” says “tuh”. Crash. Click here to see more randomness. Tell Keely I said hello and that she looks nice today. I effing hate our neighbor’s tree. I’m not too fond of the one in our backyard, either. I envy the warm weather you’re having-I would be happy to walk around half naked and cut my hair off if I could PLANT MY GARDEN NOW! (I’m sorry..deep breaths, I’m fine, really.) I think I’ll soothe myself with some mac ‘n’ cheese…

Mac and cheese is one of my favorite things! It is now going to take all my will power to not fix some before bed! Thanks! If it happens I will be passing the blame on to you!
