Not sure what HASAY is? Read all about it <a href="http://halfasgoodasyou.com/?p=1530">here</a>. It’s not too late to join so if you’re looking for some online motivation and ridicule, here’s the place to start. I’m pretty sure a lot of us are starting over this week with the New Year so things should get interesting around here!</em></p> <p><em>Today’s guest poster is Jen from <a href="http://coconutbelly.blogspot.com/" target="blank">Coconut Belly</a>. When she sent me her guest post, I emailed her back to let her know she was classing the place up a bit. NEVER before has a poem been published on HAGAY, this is a first. I love poetry, I just can’t write it. Thanks Jen for filling the void!</em></p> <p><em>Stay tuned for the list of HASAY contestants at the bottom of the page. </em></p> <p>——————————————————————————<br /> wow! a guest post from someone that has updated their own hasay progress in weeks!<br /> how exciting! for the record … casey asked me if i was back on the wagon with her this week … and then she took off … i was running to catch up … but happened to see an open box of christmas candy … and got sidetracked.</p> <p>but this week … she’s actually letting me guest post! so i guess that means i’m officially on the wagon again.</p> <p>oh yeah. and i should mention … at my site … i write without purpose or thought (most of the time). here? i froze like a shy high school student in front of her public speaking class, with her unwavering love of her life sitting in the back seat.</p> <p>in other words, i could NOT think of ANYTHING!</p> <p>until i remembered a poetry class where i was assigned a poem to compile. and had no idea what to write. (notice a theme here? assignments are my downfall …) this is what i could remember … with a wee bit of tweaking here and there. (i mean, this isn’t a high school poetry class … right?)</p> <p><strong><strong>hasay</strong> guest post poem …</strong></p> <p>there is a guest post due on monday …<br /> and i don’t know what to write.<br /> today is sunday …<br /> so i’ve only got tonight!</p> <p>i’ve searched and searched<br /> from my toes to my brain …<br /> to find a topic<br /> that i can explain!</p> <p>i could talk about<br /> triglycerides, trans-fats and such …<br /> but to get a whole post?<br /> that would just be too much!</p> <p>i decided to ask around …<br /> see what i could find.<br /> ask a couple of people<br /> if they could help me sort things out in my mind.</p> <p>so i went to my best friend …<br /> a dietician, no less!<br /> but amongst pizza and beer(s), i forgot!<br /> wouldn’t you guess…</p> <p>my husband was sitting there …<br /> next in the line.<br /> but he didn’t understand why i’d be blogging …<br /> somewhere other than mine.</p> <p>my mom, my sister,<br /> the guy down the street.<br /> i asked EVERYONE<br /> that i happened to meet.</p> <p>finally mr. google …<br /> i thought he would come through.<br /> but all he gave me<br /> was a list or two (hundred).</p> <p>including the top three ways<br /> to stop being fat …<br /> drink more water, eat less, and exercise …<br /> imagine that …</p> <p>and so here this brings us<br /> nearing the end …<br /> to all of you,<br /> strangers and friends…</p> <p>i’m sorry that i wrote a post<br /> about not knowing what to do …<br /> and following this (pathetic excuse for a guest post) …<br /> you’ll find hasay updates that are new!</p> <p>————————————————————————-<br /> Recent additions:</p> <p>New Wednesday: FoN from <a href="http://kidsanddaiquiris.blogspot.com/">Kids and Daiquiris</a>.
