Riddle Me This

What’s worse than a seven month old with a bad cold and a double ear infection?
Do you give up? Are you sure? Ok, fine..

The answer: A very sick seven month old AND a twenty-three month old who ALSO has a double ear infection and terrible cold. Also? The mother of those two kids who is coming down with something similar and the fact that neither parents have gotten more than four hours of sleep out of the last thirty-six hours.

For the second day in a row, I haven’t got anything interesting to share but I’m still here for the sake of NappyBlowMe. Elliot hasn’t been sleeping all week so we took her to the doctor on Wednesday and discovered that both ears were infected. On Thanksgiving night, Graham was up from around 11PM -3:30AM and back up again for the day at six. We took trip to the doctor on Friday and learned that his ears are infected too. He’s going to the ear nose & throat doctor as soon as I can get him in since he’ll probably need tubes in his ears.
Both kids are grouchy and irritable and so are Jamie and I. I haven’t had a chance to answer emails or check on your blogs but I’ll be back around as soon as things settle down here. Hope you guys are all enjoying your long weekends….

ugh ugh ugh!!! And so begins the long line of cold/flu season. I can feel it descending upon our house. it’s the quiet before the storm. I can just tell. Feel better.

My husband has the industrial strength cold I had a few weeks ago. So of course he is flat on his back while I am a)cooking b) trying to decorate house c) herding ~~cats~~ children.

One more day of this NaBlowMe nonsense…home stretch!!!!

I sure do feel for you!! That sucks the bog one. All I can say is that it will pass but like a kidney stone, it will hurt like hell on so many levels.

Tough to feel grateful under the circumstances, huh?
Well, I guess the best I can wish for you is that you reach that point of fatigue and sleep deprivation when you feel punch drunk silly. You know, you get another gift from the spirits on high: over time, you forget all these sleepless moments, but you remember a lot of the baby bonding moments. — Come to think of it, I’ve forgotten a lot of other things as well. Hmm. Well, maybe I didn’t need those brain cells anyway.
You can be thankful next year!

How appropriate is that smurf village devastation? Poor babies. Poor parents. Hope you’re all feeling better soon. Putting tubes in Max’s ears really helped him, he hasn’t had an ear infection since April despite tons of gross snotty colds. It also made for a saner me. Yay sanity.

Healthy vibes coming your way, poor friend! I find myself hacking up lungs today and am really skeered I picked something up on Thursday…ugh, of course it’s going to be a travel week for DH. Feel better soonest!

Yuck! I’ve soooo been there, except luckily it was only ONE kid with the double ear infections. Tubes were like manna from heaven for us! I hope you all get to feeling better soon!

Sorry everyone is sick. I know that sucks … especially when the mom is sick because we just have to keep going anyway.

Aw man, that sucks! I hope everyone feels better. Poor Graham, hopefully the tubes will help.
We’re not getting a whole lot of sleep around here either, maybe this virus is making it’s way up the East Coast.

’cause seriously … ear infections across the board are incredibly sucky … and you are still managing to comment at my place.
are you super woman?
or do you just not sleep because of blogging and not sick kids?
OR do you blog with sick kids on your lap? (that would be the best option)
