Spin Cycle: What I’m Thankful For
November 22, 2008 7:00 am
This week’s Spin Cycle topic is to write about what I’m thankful for. Here’s my spin on the subject. After yesterday’s never ending post (thanks to you three who got through the entire thing), I promise to keep it short.
———————————————————————————-
There are so many things in my life that I’m thankful for (you guys included), but I’m going to write about my family. Jamie is such a supportive husband and I’m completely spoiled. He’s my best friend and the best father and I don’t know what I’d do without him.
My kids are absolutely amazing. I spent the night going through old video footage to try to pick something that summed up how great my life is but I think you have to be here to really get it. We laugh and play and hug and throw tantrums and I wouldn’t change a minute of it. Ok, maybe the tantrums but that’s about it. I didn’t put up a video of me with the kids because I sound like a high-pitched twelve year old on all of them, so I didn’t want to share. Instead, I’ll leave you with a video that Jamie made me for my first Mother’s Day. He surprised me that morning with a file on my desktop (the video) and a sheet cake with Graham’s face on it. Who wouldn’t love the guy who gives his wife a face cake and a cheesy video? Nobody, that’s who.

on November 22nd, 2008 at 8:08 amAwesome Spin! I love an early morning, Sprite and John still sleeping, and me watching a chubby baby smile on video. Where did all that hair come from? He had nothing in that footage! You’re linked, Casey!

on November 22nd, 2008 at 11:02 amThat was really sweet. I always get sad looking at them as babies, it’s such a brief wondrous little period. That first year just flies by. Face cake and a Grahamburger video, nice job Jamie. Those sweet baby days have been exchanged for block throwing and tantrums. Woo hoo. Exciting in their own right, if you can remember to wear a face guard.

on November 22nd, 2008 at 3:24 pmOh, how wonderful! Dean made me a video from the boys’ first three days so we could watch them while we were at home and they in the hospital for 9. I cried every time I watched it and still do…we seriously need to take more video. That’s such a beautiful song (tho Dean swears by Keith Whitley’s version) and the love in that video is awesomesauce! The boys call my friend Amber AmberGER and I’d forgotten what that exersaucer looked like with all parts intact LOL. Thankful for the reminder and your friendship :bighugs:

on November 24th, 2008 at 1:47 pmThat is so sweet!! You are a very lucky woman to have a man that is so creative like that. In our house I am the one that does that stuff. You should have seen the video I made him for Father’s Day (If I knew how to upload I will) – the most from him is a trip to Target (on his own) to buy me something. Material stuff is okay but the mushy stuff is even better. I AM SO JEALOUS!!!
