Put Us Down For 2 1/2 Votes!

November 4, 2008 11:31 am

Woo hoo! You get two posts out of me today but this one is short.

Elliot: “Oh noes, I hope our guy wins!”

Jamie casting his ballot. Was I allowed to take this? IΒ  have no idea.

Daddy and his girl getting ready to vote.

Look at that smiley girl!

Elliot was so happy to be able to vote in her first Presidential election. She even wore her Obama sticker. I didn’t have the heart to tell her that she’s 17.5 years too young to vote.

So cute. I love seeing other parents with their kids at the polls – such a great lesson in civic responsibility!

Even if they’re too young to know… at least they’re an adorable distraction in the lines!

Yay for voting! I read that evil Karl Rove is calling FL for Obama. He’s evil and stuff, but he’s generally right about these things.

Oh, you baaaad girl! Wearing your Obama sticker to vote!!! They just told us on the news that if you showed up with: stickers, signs, or clothing that said who you were going to vote for that you would be turned away! How “F”ed up is that!!!

Woo-frickin-hoo! I love, love that you documented your voting. (Cross fingers)This election is historic (sorry that’s sort of cliche), but you have proof that you’re little ones were present when we changed history!!

So cute! Little Danny got an “I Voted” sticker too. We didn’t get him his free cup of Starbuck’s coffee though. Nor his free Ben and Jerry’s cone. But we’re hopeful that a win for his candidate will be reward enough!!! -Monica

I even told Emma that girls weren’t always allowed to vote. πŸ˜€ Not sure she understood but someday she will.

Hehe, that’s awesome. I took Xander when I voted in our last election. He didn’t seem too impressed, and flirted with the 85-year-old biddies who were collecting ballots instead.

Woooo Hooooo!!! He won, he won, he won!!! I am so tempted to get in the car and make the 2 hour drive down to Chicago…

Thankfully I did 60 minutes on the treamill earlier so I could sit on the couch and watch history.

And I’m not sure that the Feds won’t be coming for you because of that picture. Don’t worry though, the food sucks in the pokey. You won’t gain any weight. πŸ˜‰

It’s never too early to get ’em started!

My family scattered and went to the polls at different times. It’s been years since the last time my husband and I went together. That could, of course, be because he is a Republican and I am a Democrat. We’ve learned not to talk politics with each other. I can’t imagine going in the same car – arguing the entire way there and back. WHEN is he going to learn??

I didn’t even think to take pictures. I left the kiddies at home since they were all off from school, baby napping, my teen sitting. It was just me and the hubster in a 45 minute line to get our vote on. It was almost like a date actually.

I love the photos, I’m jealous of your uncrowded poling location. And I want to eat your baby.
